Whether or not you’re religious, you’ve got to love the “Serenity Prayer.” While it’s often associated with Alcoholics Anonymous, its message is universally applicable:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
We can control a lot more than we think in our lives, yet there’s so much we try to control that we can’t. I don’t know if we need “wisdom” to know the difference, as much as we simply need to ask the question. Look at your sources of frustration. Is this something you can control, or not. If so, respond. If not, let go.
