President Bush as Motivational Speaker

Last month I was interviewed by Slate.com to comment on President George W. Bush’s prospects of becoming a successful motivational speaker. (See “Talk Good Now: Motivational Speaking Advice for George W. Bush”). I predicted he’d do as well as any former President. You do that job for eight years and your going to have a lot of stories to share. More significantly, people line up to see anyone famous. The Washington Post quoted one attendee who said, “He wasn’t the best speaker. But I was happy to see him!” Check out their review at “Bush’s First Stand On A New Podium.”

Sure enough, he was a hit.
