High School Motivational Speaker

Scott GreenbergScott is hilariously funny and easygoing, making him a dream to work with. Our kids LOVED him… He handled a large rowdy crowd with the finesse of a true professional. Scott connects with kids on their level in a way few motivational speakers can.
--Sandy Ginger, Executive Director, Nevada Association of Student Councils

I wanted to let you know I think you are by far the best motivational speaker I have seen in my four years at Ocean Lakes… Thank you for showing me and everyone else that we all have the power to get through life's turbulent times.

Bouncing Back:
Finding Resilience in the Face of Adversity

Scott Greenberg was an NYU film student when he was diagnosed with cancer. He spent the next year battling for his life. It was during this time that Scott discovered the power of laughter and attitude. Inspired by his grandmother, a Schindler's List holocaust survivor, he conquered the disease and went on to complete the Los Angeles Marathon.

This upbeat presentation focuses on how strong and powerful we ALL are. Everyone gets their "cancers" - problems we don't expect or deserve. But that's not what matters. What matters is how we react.

Scott will give your students tools for managing adversity. They'll learn how to use humor and attitude to access their full strength and keep problems in perspective. Students will leave with renewed optimism and excitement for their lives. In addition to a substantive message, Scott uses a lot of humor and story-telling, ensuring your students will have a great time. This makes for a fantastic conference keynote, school assembly or new student orientation presentation

Benefits For Your Students:

  • Maintain a more positive attitude.
  • Minimize drama when challenged with crisis.
  • Tap into inner strength and coping skills.
  • Specific techniques for managing difficult situations.
  • React positively and productively to challenges.
  • Increased motivation, setting an enthusiastic, upbeat tone for the rest of your event.

There was a great blend of energizers, informative talks, group interaction and directed activities. The day never lagged. You definitely left them wanting more. I'll be very surprised of you don't hear from more than one of these schools in the coming year. I know you'll be hearing from us!
--Jill Jones, Activities Director, Ursuline High School

Cut Loose Your Sandbags:
How to Overcome Your Hang-Ups and Soar to Success!
High School Motivational Speaker

Like hot air balloons, all of us are engineered to soar to great heights. Unfortunately, many of us "sandbag" ourselves. We do things, we think things and we believe things that hold us down. We get insecure, fearful and jealous. We judge people, think negatively and make excuses for our unhappiness. We become our biggest obstacle. Imagine what would be possible if we got out of our own way.

In this presentation, Scott will reconnect students with their true potential. They'll reflect on how they limit themselves and be challenged to live more powerfully. Scott will share personal stories and anecdotes that celebrate what young people can accomplish. This presentation is both practical and highly motivational.

Benefits For Your Students:

  • Liberate students from mental hang-ups.
  • Help students more effectively cope with problems.
  • Get students excited for their endeavors.
  • Motivation & inspiration.

Your ability to draw the audience into your speech and make them laugh while delivering a valuable message was a wonderful mix for the 950 delegates and advisors at the convention.
-- Barrie Moorman, President, Maryland Association of Student Councils

Diversity, Tolerance & Unity:
Building Bridges & Breaking Barriers

Intolerance goes way beyond race and skin color. It also seeps into classes, clubs and cliques. Now more than ever we need increased campus unity. If it's true that "It's not what you know, it's who you know," then school should be as much about friendship as it is academics. As a former program facilitator for the Los Angeles Museum of Tolerance, and as the grandson of a holocaust survivor, Scott Greenberg will remind students of the importance of mutual respect, courtesy and school unity. They'll see how they will benefit from a little kindness, and how they may live to regret the bridges they burn. Additionally, Scott can facilitate follow-up unity activities and discussion to reinforce the program and promote communication.

Benefits For Your Students:
  • Promote school unity.
  • Break down walls among student groups.
  • Cut down bullying.
  • Increase campus kindness and improve social climate.
Our school has had an increase in bullying and I was shocked to see that no one was made fun of today. Not One! You made that happen! They listen to you! They respected you! The agreed with what you were saying! You realy have made a difference in our school!
-- Stephanie, Student, Parras Middle School

Rewards or Consequences:
Making Good Choices

We have a lot more control over our lives than we realize. For every choice, there is a reward or a consequence. This program reminds students how they will face difficult situations in their lives such a stress, broken hearts, peer pressure, etc. The choices they make in these situations will have great influence on the outcome. Through a series of stories and powerful messages, Scott will encourage your students to make the best choices possible to enhance their lives. This is a perfect presentation for events focusing on drug and alcohol prevention and Red Ribbon Week.

Benefits For Your Students:

  • Give students confidence and motivation to make healthy choices.
  • Learn to maintain a positive attitude.
  • Discourage drug and alcohol use.
  • Create a supportive environment.

New Student Transition Programs/Orientations

When students start at a new school, they're freaking out. "Will I make friends?" "Is it cool be involved? "How do I survive here?!!!" These are the questions addressed by Scott's interactive, new student orientation programs. Matching students with trained, upper-classman mentors, Scott will facilitate a fun, spirited half-day of motivation, teambuilding and guidance to prepare new students for a great experience. After hearing an upbeat motivational presentation, students will participate in large group mixers that get them playing, talking and laughing together. Then they'll break into small groups for teambuilding activities and advice from their pre-assigned upper-classman mentor. Students leave with enthusiasm, confidence and a great attitude about their new school.

Benefits For Your Students:

  • Ease new students' fears about school.
  • Generate school spirit.
  • Promote teambuilding and supportive school climate.
  • Give older students a leadership opportunity.
  • Promote positive communication between older and younger students.

You relate so well to our members, as was shown by the standing ovations you received following your presentation. I would highly recommend you as a motivational speaker to the youth of our country.
-- Sandy, Spavone, Director of Programs, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
