Fees & Funding for Youth Programs
Scott offers significantly discounted fees to schools and youth organizations. The rates below INCLUDE ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES. If two schools/organizations share Scott on the same day, all fees may be split.
Fees
Southern California: $2500 for up to two presentations, $500 for each additional
Northern California: $3000 for up to two presentations, $500 for each additional
Western US (WA, OR, AZ, NV): $3250 for up to two presentations, $500 for each additional
UT to Mississippi River: $3400* for up to two presentations, $500 for each additional
East of Mississippi River: $3500* for up to two presentations, $500 for each additional
Hawaii, Alaska, and International: Call for quote
* Fee may be higher for last minute bookings or exceptional locations requiring higher airline fees.
How Schools Pay for Scott’s Programs
Sharing with other schools. If you are able to find another school to use Scott on the same day, his fee may be split between both schools. If you are able to help Scott get additional bookings on days before or after your event, you may receive an additional discount and still split his fees. Scott regularly speaks to middle schools, high schools and colleges.
Vendors. To strengthen relationships with the schools for whom they provide products and services, many vendors are willing to sponsor programs. Ask for help from your soft drink providers, cap and gown/class ring salesmen, etc.
Bring Scott to your school during slow months or open days. Traditionally, December and early January are slow for speakers. Scott may be willing to offer discounts when invited to speak during these times. He may also be willing to discount for last minute openings, or when he’s already in your area.
Staff Development Funds. Scott has worked with many staffs and faculties across the country doing programs that motivate and educate teachers. He can do as little as one presentation to as much as a full day of staff development. (Read about Scott’s Educator Programs). If brought in to work with teachers, Scott can do Student Programs on the same day.
Alcohol, Tobacco & Chemical Abuse Funding. Scott has worked with many prevention organizations and schools, encouraging students to make healthy choices, and building their confidence to stand up to peer pressure. He also provides leadership training for prevention clubs and programs.
Service Clubs. Scott’s fee has often been covered or subsidized by local community groups such as Kiwanis or Rotary. If his schedule allows, Scott will do a free program at their club meeting if they fund his program.
School Improvement Funding. Scott facilitates motivational programs, leadership training, school unity and tolerance programs, and freshmen/new student orientation events. Scott can also work with school leaders to develop programs that improve school climate.
Student Government/Activities. Often these funds are used for school assemblies and leadership training.
Title 1 (Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965). Scott’s programs enhance school environment and promote academic achievement by helping students remove psychological and social barriers to success. Additionally, he works to provide students with many developmental assets (www.search-institute.org/assets). Contact your Title 1 coordinator to see if your desired program qualifies.
Educational Materials. Scott offers a variety of student leadership and personal growth publications. (Read about books by Scott Greenberg.) With large quantity orders, Scott can discount or wave his speaking fees.
PTSA/Parent Groups. Parent organizations have funded Scott’s programs many times. If his schedule allows, Scott will do an evening parent program at no additional charge.
